Melba Conaway, 90, of Texarkana, Texas passed away peacefully on July 19, 2012. She worked at The Bank of Mansfield for many years, and loved teaching Sunday school.
Melba is survived by two daughters; Cheryl Blevins of Prescott, Arkansas, Myra Wells of Texarkana, Texas, one son Kenneth Conaway of Gilmer, Texas, one brother Charles Baker of Collierville, Tennessee, five grandchildren; Lori Shirron, Steven Blevins, Brad Conaway, Kevin Conaway, Kara Muse, six great grandchildren and four special friends; Yana Lee, Rosaland Dunn, Kristy Washington and Barbara Danner.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ernest and Maude (Fleener) Baker, husband Earl Conaway and one brother Harold Baker.
Visitation will be Sunday July 22, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home in Mansfield, AR,
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday July 23, 2012 at James Fork Baptist Church in Mansfield, Arkansas under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Pete Morris, Bob McElroy, Verman Gallimor, Bob Schlinker, Roger Edwards, Louis Edwards and Doug Ellison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Fildes, Mickey Carlton, Loy Carter, David Tucker and Gary Edwards.
